The Focus Thron2 6.7 is a great option for an all-round electric mountain bike. The frame and fork both have 130mm of suspension travel to smooth out the bumps and the larger 29” wheels also help make riding over rough terrain a comfortable experience. The high stack height gives a more upright riding position than some mountain bikes, making it suitable for longer distances and less aggressive riding styles.
The Bosch Performance CX Gen4 motor has four different assistance modes, ranging from the 340% Turbo mode through to the energy-conserving Eco option Tour (140%) and eMTB which reacts intelligently to pedal pressure to provide between 140% and 340% aid. The 500Wh battery is removable for simpler recharging when the bike is not near a power supply.
SRAM’s 12-speed Eagle SX drivetrain uses a wide-ranging 11-50 cassette for good hill-climbing ability and Shimano MT420 hydraulic disc brakes for confidence-inspiring braking on the descents in all conditions.
